Michael was born in Woodstock, New York in 1969. It was a time of war and chaos, but it was also a time of love and freedom. Woodstock was the focus of the revolution against the mainstream and an epicenter for art and expression. Being born into such an environment helped shape his creativity.

After graduating from university, Michael married his beautiful wife Melissa. They then escaped the “real world” and moved to Aspen, Colorado. Anyone who has spent time there knows this is an amazing place to live. Beauty is everywhere. It was in Aspen, that Michael began his career as a photographer. Today when he’s not on location, he spends his time in New York and Miami.

Natural locations and lighting are central to Michael’s photography. There is a very familiar and believable sense to his work. Since a child, he has been a natural observer. “There is so much beauty around us every day. We just need to learn to stop and see what is right there in front of our eyes.”

Michael works in a very laid back manner. It’s the experience of shooting that excites him. Anyone who works with Michael, knows that this is much more then a job; It’s a passion. He shoots in such a way that you can’t help but to have fun. That is when great photos come to life.

Today, Michael is still in search of the perfect location. Whether it’s an exotic island or the streets of New York. As he says “Location is everything. If you put yourself in the right place with the right people, you will get amazing shots.” And he does.
